Incorporating creative props into your senior photoshoot is the perfect way to make your pictures stand out and tell YOUR story. What better way to capture this incredible milestone than through a photoshoot that truly reflects your unique personality, hobbies, and future goals? Here are some fun and meaningful ideas to inspire you!
1. Sports & Athletics
If sports are your thing, let’s show it off! Bring along your jersey, favorite cleats, or any gear you love—whether that’s a volleyball, tennis racket, or your cheerleading pompoms. We can do some action shots or keep it chill with you in your team jacket.
Fun Idea: Let’s head to your field or court for some photos where you’ve created so many awesome memories.
2. Musical Instruments
Calling all musicians! If music is your passion, bring your instrument—it makes for amazing photos. Whether it’s your guitar, violin, flute, or even drumsticks, it’s a great way to showcase your talent and creativity.
Fun Idea: I just recently had the coolest shoot with a girl and a guitar in a field - Let's recreate that!
3. Books & Academics
Love to read or crush those academics? Bring along a stack of your favorite books or something tied to your future college.
Fun Idea: How about a cozy picnic setup surrounded by books? Or a close-up with you holding one of your favorites?
4. Creative Arts
If you’re an artist or dancer, let’s show off your craft! Sketchpads, paintbrushes, a small easel, or your ballet slippers can make your photos so personal and unique. I would love to see some of your work, shoot me an email with a picture of your favorite painting!
Fun Idea: Imagine tossing paint powder in the air or wearing your pointe shoes in a dreamy outdoor setting.
5. Career & Future Goals
Got big dreams? Let’s celebrate them! If you’re aiming for a specific career, bring something symbolic, like a stethoscope for a future doctor or aviator sunglasses for a future pilot. College swag like a sweatshirt or pennant works great, too.
Fun Idea: You could hold a sign that says, “Future [Your Career Here],” paired with props that showcase your goals.
6. Hobbies & Interests
What’s your thing? Baking, gaming, photography (same here!), hiking —whatever makes you, you! Bring along props tied to your hobbies to make your session feel totally personal.
Fun Idea: Let’s capture you in action—baking cookies, flipping through a comic book, or let's take this session to one of your favorite, local hiking spots.
7. Vehicles
Your car or truck can totally add personality to your photos. Whether it’s your first car or a vintage ride you love, it’s a fun way to highlight your style. I mean... we do live on the Eastern Shore, I know you have a truck you want in your photos.
Fun Idea: Let’s grab a shot of you sitting on the hood of your car or relaxing in the truck bed for a laid-back vibe.
8. Pets
Your furry friends are part of your story, so why not include them? Dogs, cats, horses—whatever companion you’ve got, they’re always welcome.
Fun Idea: Let’s snap some candid shots of you cuddling your pet or just hanging out together. Imagine sticking a cute outfit of ur college on your dog!
9. Fashion Statements
Sometimes props are just you. A favorite hat, bold sunglasses, or some cool cowboy boots can say a lot about your personality.
Fun Idea: Bring a few outfits to switch things up—one casual, one glam—and let your style shine.
10. Graduation Elements
Of course, your cap and gown are a must! These classic props are perfect for celebrating your big achievement. This prop is included in all of my senior packages SO DON'T FORGET TO BRING IT!
Fun Idea: Throw your cap in the air or pose with it draped over your shoulder. Bonus points for a chalkboard or sign with your graduation year!
At the end of the day, it’s all about showing off you. Bring the things you love, and we’ll create photos that are fun, unique, and totally personal. Let’s make it happen!
