I had the absolute best time shooting with Delanie McGill for her graduation photos at Loyola University Maryland! As a photographer based in Virginia, I’m always down to travel for fun sessions like this—and Loyola’s campus is seriously one of my favorite spots.
This was actually my second time doing a graduation session there, and the campus was gorgeous as always. The white brick buildings make such a clean, classic backdrop, and the field in the middle of campus was this perfect bright green. We lucked out with the timing too—everything was blooming and springy, just before Easter. It felt like the trees were showing off for her photos.

Loyola’s been doing some renovations, but I love that they kept the original charm. They’ve updated a few things, but the old-school brick buildings still feel super timeless, which honestly makes the photos feel even more unique.
We weren’t 100% sure if Delanie’s cap and gown would make it in time, and unfortunately they didn’t—but she was totally chill about it. She’s super go-with-the-flow and just wanted pretty photos to remember her time on campus, so that’s what we focused on!

She wore this gorgeous white dress from Abercrombie that looked so good against the buildings and all the flowers. We wandered all over campus, stopping at the best photo spots—yes, including the iconic Loyola bridge—and just had a blast.

Delanie also brought a second outfit to grab some LinkedIn headshots, which was such a smart move! She threw on a cute little blazer and black top, and we got some professional shots for the “real world” too.

We seriously had so much fun during this session—it didn’t feel like work at all. I’m obsessed with how the photos turned out (not to brag or anything 😌), and I’m so excited to share them.
