I tried out a new location with one of my favorite couples recently, and I’m obsessed. This spot had everything—open fields, dreamy trees, a quiet little beach—and it’s 1000% getting added to my location guide. If you’re looking for something outdoorsy but not too rustic, this is the place. Message me or reach out if you’re curious—I’d love to take you there for your session!
This shoot was with Madison and Beecher for a little anniversary session, and they always make my job so easy. We even pulled a little inspo from The Last Song (yes, that iconic Miley Cyrus movie—we all know the truck scene with Miley singing “She Will Be Loved” 👀).
We started in this open field that had trees lining the perimeter—like the perfect country vibe without the too much of the country. Madison and Beecher ran around a bit for some candid shots, then we slowed it down for cozy, snuggly poses. The light was golden, the grass was soft, and it felt like a little scene straight out of a Nicholas Sparks movie (or in this case, a Miley Cyrus movie).

Next, we made our way down a trail toward the beach area. Along the way, we found this fallen tree and Madison had the idea for them to climb up on it—which ended up being one of my favorite mini-moments from the session. The vibe was very "adventurous but cute."

When we got to the beach, it was quiet and almost completely empty. The trees down there were amazing too—they were growing in interesting ways and had so much texture, and the little shoreline made for the dreamiest background. They wandered around, held hands, and we just kept things super relaxed and sweet.

For the end of the session, we headed back to their truck to recreate that Last Song scene. Madison mentioned the truck belonged to Beecher’s grandfather, which made it even more special. always love photo shoots where it’s a little bit more personal. I’m sure Madison and Beecher have spent so much time in that truck just driving around to places, that looking back at these pictures one day with their grandkids is going to be so cute. To be able to say that that was his grandfather‘s truck but also to say that was the truck Beecher had when they started dating.
This whole session was full of love, laughter, and a little bit of movie magic. Can’t wait to shoot here again soon!
