Gloucester, Virginia Wedding Photographer
Bri and Seth Wells’ wedding at The Inn at Warner Hall in Gloucester, Virginia was the kind of day that felt steady, deeply personal, and full of meaning. After nearly ten years together, this celebration wasn’t about rushing through traditions, it was about honoring a love that had already lived a lot of life.
From the historic charm of the venue to a sunset ceremony that couldn’t have been planned better, every part of this day told their story.
Getting Ready at The Inn at Warner Hall
The Inn at Warner Hall is one of those venues that immediately slows you down in the best way. The building itself is historic, elegant, and full of character, with natural light pouring into every room. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need much, it already carries so much beauty and history within its walls.
Bri spent the afternoon getting ready surrounded by an incredible group of girls who showed up for her in every sense of the word.
One of the most special details of the day? Their dog, Opal Rae, was part of it all, wearing a custom dress made from scrap material from Bri’s wedding gown. It was such a sweet, intentional touch and a perfect reflection of how much Opal Rae means to Bri and Seth.

A Venue That Offers Endless Photo Opportunities
One of the reasons I loved photographing at The Inn at Warner Hall is how versatile the property is. The grounds offer so many unique photo opportunities, from sprawling greenery to classic architecture, without ever needing to leave the venue.
This made it easy to document the day naturally, allowing moments to unfold without interruption. Bri and Seth moved through the space with ease, taking everything in, fully present with one another.

A Sunset Ceremony (Thanks to a Little Flexibility)
Like many real wedding days, things didn’t follow the timeline perfectly, and that ended up being a gift.
The ceremony was pushed back and landed right at sunset, bathing the space in the most gorgeous, warm light. The soft colors and glowing sky created an intimate atmosphere that felt calm and unhurried, a reminder that sometimes the best moments are the ones you don’t plan.
Their ceremony felt honest and emotional, surrounded by the people who have supported them through nearly a decade of life together.

Flash Portraits & A Quiet End to the Day
As the ceremony ended and the sun went down, we leaned into something a little more creative, flash portraits that gave Bri and Seth a chance to step away together and soak it all in. These images felt bold, modern, and completely them.
After a day full of meaning, it was the perfect way to close out their celebration, intentional, unique, and rooted in their connection rather than tradition for tradition’s sake.

Why This Day Mattered
Bri and Seth’s wedding was a reminder that weddings don’t have to be loud or overproduced to be powerful. This day was about trust, patience, and a love that had already proven itself over time.
As a Virginia wedding photographer, these are the days I’m most drawn to, weddings that prioritize feeling over perfection and presence over performance.
